Railway Medical Group is a teaching practice where qualified doctors, known as GP Registrars, complete their final training. These doctors have at least three years of hospital experience and work in our practice for six months to gain further experience as independent GPs
If you have any questions about the doctors in training, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
In addition to training doctors and nurses, we also welcome medical students from Sunderland and Newcastle universities. These students are still in the early stages of their training and assist by taking patient histories and performing examinations under the supervision of a GP.
We believe that our teaching role not only helps train the next generation of medical professionals but also allows us to maintain and improve the high quality of care we provide to our patients.
