Appointments

Urgent appointments

To request a urgent appointment:

If you need a urgent appointment, please call the surgery. We’ll take your details and a brief description of your symptoms for a triage appointment.

You must provide a current phone number where you can be reached. A GP will then call you back to assess your needs. If they determine you need to be seen in person, they’ll give you a time to attend the Blyth Acute Service.

This service is located at the entrance of Blyth Community Hospital and is staffed jointly by all GPs from Railway Medical Group. Because of this, you may not be seen by your usual GP.

Routine appointments

To request a routine appointment:

  • You can book/cancel a routine appointment by contacting the surgery on 01670 542630 or alternatively via Patient Access
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
